“Spectrum Of Homeopathy” is Narayana Publishers’ new journal, whose aim is to combine thorough clinical experience, compact information of materia medica, and diversity of methods.

First issue: Childhood and Psyche
The first issue,  published in April 2010  focusses on mental and emotional problems in children. Through many cases specific approaches are demonstrated, as well as the relationship between different remedy families. These are, for example, butterfly remedies in ADHD or lanthanides in autism. The scope of homeopathic practice is being expanded through “small” remedies like Anantherum, Gallicum acidum, and newly-proven remedies like: Fenoterol, Ozone, and Placenta. Well- known homeopaths such as Louis Klein, Massimo Mangialavori, Rajan Sankaran, Anne Schadde, Jan Scholten, and many other known authors stand for the quality of this issue.

The whole spectrum
There have been many advances in the homeopathic field in recent decades – from the use of modern software, expanding and systematizing our materia medica, to the discovery of new methodology principles. It is Narayana Publishers’ wish to work hand in hand with these developments in a specific way. We know from experience that the future of our tradition-rich healing method lies in the active integration of a range of trends within homeopathy. Powerdrugs are now a major part of our daily life, yet consumption of these drugs is culturally speaking an ancient issue of human existence. Ephedrine, for example, is currently a widely used doping agent, yet it has also been used in different cultures for over 5000 years. For many homeopaths, Hahnemann's idea of miasms – which has been repeatedly reformulated right up to the present day – is a vague, outdated idea, whereas other homeopaths base their entire approach on it. The differing interpretations and applications of the idea of “miasms” often invite controversy and cause confusion.
This edition aims to demonstrate the development of the wide range of theories from 1828 to 2010, showing their practical application with typical case histories. Rajan Sankaran's comment sums up what we hope to achieve: “For me, miasm is basically something that should be practical."
The spectrum of contributions ranges from the traditional concepts of scrofula and the tubercular miasm via the study of miasms as the precursor of modern trauma theory through to current models of miasm for case analysis by remedy group. With authors such as Louis Klein, Rosina Sonnenschmidt, Jan Scholten, Rajan Sankaran, Mike Keszler, Grant Bentley, Markus Gantenbein and Alok Pareek.
