Liliales

The current issue of SPECTRUM with the title “Lilies – Problems with the Group” is a kind of GPS for homeopaths. Functioning as a sort of global positioning system (GPS), SPECTRUM brings much-needed clarity to the Liliales order because the Lilies have certainly caused considerable terminological confusion, both in homeopathy and botany: Lilianae, Liliidae, Liliiflorae, Liliales, or Liliaceae? Moreover the Liliales as grasped in Jan Scholten’s modern APG classification contain fewer plant families than in the classical Cronquist taxonomy. The latter is preferred by Sankaran and Yakir, and includes the impressive bunch of remedies that our authors have put together. Jörg Wichmann‘s introduction attempts to cast some light on this chaos of order.

“Problems with the group” is indeed the central theme of the Liliales, which can easily be derived from Scholten’s group plant code of 633.6. The digits 633 indicate the third row of the periodic table, the Silica series, with its focus on relationships, families and groups. The final digit, phase 6, indicates the feeling of being on the edge of the group, not really belonging. With her case of Crocus sativus Deborah Collins presents a vivid example of working with Jan Scholten’s plant theory.

 The treatment of disturbances in functioning and regulation is a domain of homeopathy. This is especially true for female hormone balance, which reacts very sensitively to environmental influences but is also closely related to the state of mind. Since Hahnemann‘s time we know of remedies such as Pulsatilla and Sepia which have a special effect on the menstrual cycle, fertility, pregnancy, and the menopause.

The list of “women’s” remedies has grown and grown, now including many minor remedies and entire remedy families that have proved useful for dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, or in the menopause. In many cases remedy selection with the approved indications is insufficient, and the simillimum is only found via the totality of symptoms, the life history, or the vital sensation. From the menarche to the menopause, we look at a range of different methodologies and typical remedies, using numerous cases of menstrual difficulties, unfulfilled wish for children, or cycle-dependent mood disorders. We aim to demonstrate the key role of homeopathy in the treatment of hormonally caused female complaints.

Stones - Mineral Complex Remedies

With her book of stones in “Physica,” Hildegard von Bingen founded a centuries-long tradition of precious stone treatment as part of esoteric natural healing. In homeopathy this group of remedies has only been researched in the last few decades through remedy provings. The proving symptoms and clinical experience using remedies made from such diverse substances as Granite, Lava, and Rose quartz have led to the emergence of common themes for the stones as a separate remedy family.

e-book Spectrum
having subscribed to Spectrum consistently since its launch its become a very important and informative journal for viewing a window into contemporary and classical methodologies of many experienced Homeopaths from all areas of practice. Its wonderful to be able to access the e-book version especially at this time of a global crisis but I'd much prefer the hard copy to be able to turn pages manually as is so much easier to review the articles and hidden gems of information. Some Very Helpful Perspectives
I found this book gave me a lot of different insights to use in my practice in addition to a lot of studying I have done on covid the last few years. i was somewhat shocked that the one homeopath contributor did get the vx, but everyone has to do what they feel is right for them. eine sehr informative Zeitschrift!
Seit Jahren lese ich regelmäßig das Spektrum, ich halte es für eine äußerst hilfreiche Informationsquelle für jeden Homöopathen.
In dieser Ausgabe allerdings fehlte mir ein bißchen der Zusammenhang, z.B. eine grundlegende Erklärung, wann und warum überhaupt Edelsteine als hom.Mittel infrage kommen, welche Steine geprüft sind und welche Grundthemen zugrunde liegen. read more ...
